Infiniti's line of G models has been challenging the best BMW has to offer since the G35's introduction early last decade. With the 2012 Infiniti G37, the Japanese automaker brings the level of competition even higher with a 3.7-liter V-6 engine, three available bodystyles, and a high-performance IPL model. With these changes, the 2012 G37 is poised to give its German rivals a run for their money.
The G37 is available as a four-door sedan, two-door coupe, and two-door retractable-hardtop convertible. All models are powered by a 3.7-liter V-6, producing 325 hp, 328 hp, 330 hp, or 348 hp, depending on trim and bodystyle. G37 models get either a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission, and receive such standard features as HID headlights, Intelligent Key entry and push-button start, and center vehicle information display screen.
